I love my instant noodles, don't you?* It doesn't matter if they come in a packet or a cup! Momofuku Ando is the father of "Chicken Ramen" and "Cup Noodles" so it is little surprise that the Instant Ramen Museum bears his name, just as the Father of Manga has a museum dedicated to him. Interestingly enough, the founder of Nissin was actually born in Taiwan and ran a textile business before inventing Instant Noodles in the town of Ikeda, where the museum is located.
At the museum, there are tons of exhibitions, a memorabilia shop, and a dedicated area where you can buy cup noodles from the vending machines and slurp them up.
You can make advance reservations to make your very own pack of Chicken Ramen (includes making the noodles from scratch) or as a substitute, design and customize your own cup noodles.
The options available which makes for 5460 combinations!
I love how there's something for everyone in Japanese themed museums. A pretty drain cover on the way back to the train station

*I love it but I'm not sure if they're 'healthy', although Mr Ando passed away at the ripe old age of 96, attributing his longevity to golf and daily dose of Chicken Ramen. The key, I figured, is to eat everything in moderation.
